WE DID IT! The legal right to wild camp on Dartmoor has been upheld by the Supreme Court. Judges unanimously rejected an appeal by landowners Alexander and Diana Darwall who said people should not be able to camp without permission from landowners.
Pockets well and truly… ripped out!
Greatest gratitude to The Dartmoor National Park Association and the Right to Roam movement for battling for our right to wild camp.
We share the freedoms that should be at the doorstep of all, to sleep under the stars tonight.
Thank you to the powers that be, now onwards… let’s continue to campaign for this wonderful right to camp, to be extended over the county into our other national parks.
Let’s continue to join together in community to heal the land, the environment and ourselves.
